Please note that none of the "themes" below are meant to be exhaustive treatises on the respective subject. We only discuss a few points we deem are vital for our discussion later on. As the material on this web page expands, so will the material on these "themes" to reflect the new additions made.

"Related issues" refer to various problems resulting in our liturgical life due to deviations from the canons of the Church. These issues do not touch dogma, although they often distort the Orthodox ethos which is integrally connected with the revelation of dogma and the ecclesiastical life. For example, the use of secular (exo-ecclesiastic) music in church worship prohibits the correct compunction that helps us rise up through prayer because it keeps us "carnal" (even romantic, ideological or other thoughts are still "carnal" and thus exo-ecclesiastic).

Note: We have removed our entry On Evolution since the topic is a theologoumenon i.e. the Orthodox Church has not dogmatised anything on the genesis as this relates to the Theory of Evolution in a Pan-Orthodox Synod. Furthermore, we found a number of serious errors in the expositions by Fr. Seraphim Rose on the matter, on which our article had been based. For the time being, a concise general exposition on the matter can be found here. Beyond this we should not say anything else, unless we receive the blessing of our geronda to discuss something in the future.
